**Job Description**
As a Welder You will:
Lays out, performs fit-up, tacks, and welds parts to produce a weldment or sub-weldment.
Joins various metals (aluminum, steel, stainless steel) using a full range of welding processes in different weld positions.
Works from engineering drawings, work instructions, operation/process sheets, pictures and project specifications.
Operates manual and semi-automatic welding and plasma cutting equipment. Skilled in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) .Operates oxy-fuel cutting equipment as well as a plasma torch for the purpose of cutting.
Operates pneumatic tooling such as grinders, sanders, drills, and threaded hole tapping equipment for the purpose of fit up.
Uses fixtures to layout, locate and position parts and features to be welded and reworked.
Must be capable of using a band saw to fabricate simple parts as well as, spacers, tie-bars, and other items that are required in a welding department.
Inspects work using precision measuring instruments.

Be able to pass GMAW overhead weld test in aluminum or steel
Experience Reading Manufacturing blueprints

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
